The "Daily Chronicle's" Johannesburg correspondent states that the Dutch are attempting to amend the Marriage Bill now beforo the Union Parliament in tho direction of forbidding the marriage of whites and coloured persons. The heads of the Anglican and Roman Catholic Churches declare that even though the amendment is carried they will continue to solemnise mixed marriages. The Dutch Church is promoting a private Bill to amalgamate tho different sections of the Church. It includes a clause that coloured members of the Church at tbo Capo will lose their membership ,if they emigrate northwards.
