N.S.W. SCHOOL CHILDREN EXAMINED. . By Telegraph-Press Association-Copyright. (Rec. .December 8,- 9.5 p.m.) Sydney, December 8. The report of the Medical Inspection Branch of the Department of Education shows that out of 2519 scholars examined seventeen per ceat were suffering from defective vision; ten per cent from defective hearing; and twenty per cent from noso and throat diseases. A considerable percentage had deformities and showed evidenco of malnutrition. Thirteen per cent of girls, but no boys, were above the normal ordinary standard of nutrition. ' Tho icport Tccommends the appointment of sis assistant medical officers to examine the State scholars.
