SUMMARY AND FORECAST. , Tho disturbance which last, week brought copious rains ia the northernmost parts of tno Dominion passed- eastward on Saturday night, with strong southerly winds, and left a heavy swell on tho East Coast. The barometer rose ;in the far north, and remained steady.elsewhere, but is now falling everywhere. Present indications are for northerly winds generally, moderate to strong northward of Now Plymouth and Napier, and increasing elsewhere. The barometer will probably fall everywhere, with warm and hazy weather. Unsettled probably soon on the' West Coast and southern districts of the South Island. ■• ... ' •... . . ■ D. C. BATES.
