At the civic luncheon before his departure, the Duke of Connnught expressed his deepest thinks for the splendid hospitality and the: unvarying kindness and consideration everywhere shown. He was strongly convinced that tho Sou,th African Union was a great work, well fashioned oil sound and durable lines. If public, men'put aside, things not mattering, and used the Union for the purpose of making South Africa great and prosperous, they need have, no apprehension. Mr. Fisher, Australian Prime Minister, and Mr. Fowlds, New Zealand Minister for Education, arrived in Cape Town yesterday, mid will sail for Australia in the Aeneas on December 9.
