HIGHLAND RIFLES,
MEETING OF EX-11EMBERS. ',_., A meetingof ex-members of the Highland Rißes was held at the Drill Hall, Buckle Street, last night, with a view to forming an association, i Lieutenant G. Willis presided, and there was a good attendance. Mr. Cooper, secretary of the Wellington Navals' Ex-Members' "Association was present, and, in addition to reading the rules of the association, he explained several other matters for the benefit of. the meeting. Thoso present formed themselves into a committee to carry out preliminary arrangements, Mr. J. L. Turner being elected chairman, and Mr. P. S. M'Lean, secretary. It was decided to issue further circulars and to call another meeting at a suitable date, when office-bearers will be elected.
