The attendance was moderate throughout the.day at the South African-Queens-land match. Schwarz and Llewellyn wero both in brilliant form, their partnership adding 137 runs in 63 minutes. They treated the bowling with the greatest freedom. The Queenslanders made a much hotter rhoiring in their second essay than in their first. Hartigan and Jennings for the first wicket carried tho total to 137. This tho largest partnership score vet, mado against the South Africans. Both wero frea and faultless in their play. Marshall put up a fine innings, and altogethor the local batsmen displayed much inoro confidence and greater freedom in dealing with the visitors' "googlies" than in the first innings. For tho first four wickets Queensland put on £27, the second century appearing in 137 minutes. Tho total is tho biggest in a single innings that the tour has yet produced against tho visitors.
