TERRA NOVA AT PORT CHALMERS.
AEKANGING FINAL SEND-OFF. ' !Bj Tclecraoh.—Press Association.) Dunedin, November 28. -. The Terra Nova was towed into port and berthed at Port Chalmers at 8.30 this morning after a fine-weather, trip from Lyttelton.' The morning was devoted to coaling, about 100 tons' being ' .shipped from a hulk. Large crowds from Dnnedin and Port Chalmers thronged the pier, but the.visitors were not permitted on board. Tho Mayor of : Dnnedin (Mr. T. Cola), tho Mayor of Port Chalmers (Mr. E. W- Platts). Mr. \Y. Barclay (chairman of the Otago Harbour Board), Mr. H. G. Widdowson,' S.M., and Mr. J. R. Bartholomew, S.M., . paid an official visit during the day. Th» vessel was ready for sea at 5 p.m., but, owing to a request by the chairman of the Harbour Board that an opportunity be-given for according the ship a seno> ■• off the time of departure was fixed for - 2.30 to-morrow.
