DANGEROUS VISITOR.
*—. ' . HUGE SHARK IN THE HARBOUR. A well-known 'visiting MJ?., while travelling to the Hutt by the 5.46. p.m. train on Sunday, reports having seen a huge shark disporting itself about one hundred yards oil-sliore,. and a mile south of Ngahauranga. The . dangerous creature was calculated by passengers aboard the train to be. from twelve to fourteen feet in length, its fins protruding at times two fecit above the surface, and its manoeuvres Conducted in tiro most leisurely manner possible. It will be of interest -to learn if other sharks have been seen in the harbour, but in any case it Trill be advisable for bathers to exercise every caution. Sharks aro known to invade- shallow waters, and if they exceed eight feet in length may bo considered daigorous.
