SUMMARY AND FORECAST. Moderate easterly winds have predominated, with muggy weather, fog, find rain in parts. The barometer has* risen >ind fallen slowly everywhere. Present indications ' are for moderate to strong westerly winds in the far north, but southoasterlicd prevailing generally. Rain is probablo on the eastern coasts of both islands, especially of the North Island, and in parts elsewhere. Little movement of the barometer probablo generally.
