UNIVERSITY SCHOLARSHIPS.
' THE COLLEGES WHICH WIN THEM. (By Telegraph.—Spccial Correspondent.) Auckland, November 4. Some interesting figures regarding the winning of University scholarships by secondary school students during the past_five, years were, given by Mr'. J. W. Tibbs, lieadmaster of tho Auckland Grammar School, at- a reunion of old boys held last evening. Mr. Tibbs stated that, during tho period men-tioned,-Auckland Grammar School students had won 24 scholarships, Otago High School 19, Wellington College 10, ChristcllUrCh, High School eight, Christ's .College Grammar School (combined) 10, •Jfelsoti College' eight. Invercargill High School seven, Waitaki High School six, Timaru High School• three, Napier High School one, and Wanganui Collegiate School one. 'It was also worthy-of note that tho two Auckland Rliodeß scholars (J'essrs. S. N. Ziman and K. Sisam) had attended the Auckland Grammar School.
