SUGGESTED AMENDMENT. Sir W. 'Steward has given notice, to move amendments to the Gaming Bill to extend the penalties for frequenting or loitering in any street to any "place," sports ground, rifle range, and all grounds or places where any_ sports, contest, or athletic competition 16 proceeding. Mr. T. E. Taylor will ask the House, in Committee, to add the following new clause to the Gaming Bill:—"A constable may take into custody without a warrant any person whom be has 'reasonable grounds of suspecting to be on any street or racecourse, or, on any ground on which sports tire being held within the meaning of. section 26 of the principal Aot." . Mr. Taylor will also move for a reduction of the number of race days from 250 to 200 in the year. ' ' ■
