PECULIAR CYCLING FATALITY.
A DANGER IN TOE CLIPS. (By 'Telegraph.—Prcsa Association.) Christohuroh, October 30. John Alexander Gribbin, 18 years of age, whilst cycling along Worcester Street about 10 o'clock this morniug mot with an accident which" terminated fatally. Ho was .riding westward'between tho tramway linos, when ho was met by two cyclists going in tho opposite, direction; and also riding between the tram lines. All tho cyclists turned off from the lines to their proper sides or the road, but Gribbin got too far iver, tho wheel of his machine skidded, and he was thrown off, his left temple striking tho edga of the kerbing. He was woaring too clips at tho time, which probably prevented him from getting free of his machino before ho fell. Ho was taken to a medical man's residence in the vicinity, but was found to be dead.
