The Federal Senate made good progress with, the Land Tax Bill, and then adjourned till Wednesday.
After disposing of the Constitution Alteration Bill, the House of Representatives rose till after the Cup.
TOST AUSTRALIAN LICENSING' : BILL. Perth, October 29., The Legislative Assembly amended the Licensing Bill to provide a timelimit instead of financial compensation. Reduction and No-license polls cannot bo taken till after 1920, but incimso polls will operate from 1 1912. The Legislative Council passed the Electoral Act Amendment Bill, making preferential voting compulsory.
