CHARGE OF FALSE PRETENCES

J., Piggott has been arrested on a charge of {also pretences in connection with his - alleged : score' at : 1000 yards, whereby he obtained £100: from the National Rifle Association with intent to defraud. Ho was allowed bail in £100. An .inquiry held in connection with the dispute as to the scores recorded in tho King's Match' at the meeting of,the New South Wales Rifle Association,' reeiilted in the executive of the association' disqualifying W. J. Piggott. It is stated that : Piggott admitted that he did not shoot at tho thousand. yards, and that his card bore a bogus signature of the, registrar which, had been forged.
