CRIPPEN MURDER CASE.
AN APPEAL ANNOUNCED,

London, October 27. Crippen, condemned' to death for, the murder of his wifo at Hilldrop Crcscentj Camden Road, intends to appeal against the sentence.
' A NEWSPAPER FINED,
London, October 27, The "Evening Nows," a half-penny paper published by, tho Amalgamated Press, Ltd., of which Lord ; Northcliffe is president,, was fined £200 for. contempt of Court in alleging that a minor officer on the . steamer Montrose, on which Crippen and Le Neve went to Canada, had been in consultation with Mr. R. D. Muir, JC.C., who led for tho Crown in tho Crippen murder case.
The Lord Chief Justice (Lord Alverstone), before whom Crippen and Lo Neve were tried, in imposing the fine, said that if such a thing as the "Evening News", had been guilty of occurred in the future, he might have to consider whether a fine would be sufficient to stop what appeared to be a growing evil.
