October 29, 0.25 a.m.) London, Octobcr 28. ■ The "Financial Times," in reviewing t'ho causes, apart from politics, of the gradual fall which has taken place in Imperial Consols, emphasises the extension of the scopo of trustee investments, and inoro especially the improvement in the credit of foreign countries, notably, tho United States, the largor South American Republics, and Japan. Britisli Consols arc now merely primus inter pares, and their merits aro weighed against those of Government bonds from all over tho world, and even against the highest class of railways and industrial stocks.
