SERVICES AT KARORI.
On Saturday the Missioner, the Rev. G.' F. •C. ,de Carteret, - held 'a mission service at. Makara,- at 1.30 p.m., at whidi there..wasa' good attendance. In tlie evening j the /.mission. was continued at Karori. - On Sunday there ivas'a Succession: of ! excellent •. .iervices.' • Holy .Comniumon : : was .celebrated . at; 8. aiin.,' there : being; some'.' ninety-six p'resfent. l Morning service,and sermon took' place at 11 o'clock. In the afternoon - the cHurcK' was': quite full'for the. .children's service,;..'and .there was a very/good at-, tendance at the men's service,, held at 4 o'ctek. :T :In . tho eveiling there was again a crowded. congregation, every seat boing occupied,: and people even had,to sit'ion/.tHe:' chancel ■ steps; . A large .proportion of the congregation remained for' the after-meeting;' ,;at. which an opportune ity' was given, to :: those; who •' desired to renew, their' baptismal .-vowj and>;to\ re* ceiH card, which they did, kneeling, it' the .altar.;. Over : one. 1 hundred ;cards, have so. 'farjbeen given in this way. . : Another feature of \the mission has been the large number- of requests for prayer. • . ,
