Fisher proposed that tho retiring management committee should bo re-elected oil bloc, but its chairman (Professor-'T:. A. As no one feemcd willing to acccpt offico, Professor Hunter mpved .that the meeting : be adjourned for, a fortnight. Mr. .Fisher, objected that if this course were followed there might not bo a quorum when tho meetresumed. -In that event , tho association: would be left • suspended, liko Mahomet's coffin; between: Heaven and earth, and; they might not bo able to get it hack again. Under the circumstances, he was inclined to favour a proposal raised by " another deJegate that the headquarters of tennis should be ; removed to anothor. centre. ■ "Is there any,; objection," , inquired Air.
