Among.' the entries for tlib tug-of-war contest in connection with the Boys' In-' stitute Carnival, to .be held,at the Athletic Parle to-morrow- afternoon, is u team from the Police/Force* ; which averages sixteen stone. t The Permanent. Artillery have also, .entered a team, which, some experts', think, will prove the winner of the event,. Attention is also being, attracted by the harrier's team road, race over'.a'-.'course of five miles. \Woodgor, the New Zealand champion,-is', competing in 'onV'of the teams which have entered for this evenl;.
