SUNDAY SCHOOL ANNIVERSARY.

COURTENAT PLACE iCONGREGA-! "'; TIONAL. .._';" The thirty-fifth anniversary , of. . the Courtenay Place Congregational. Sunday School was celebrated: last evening by a tea meeting, followed an interesting ohoral service in the church. The meeting was presided over by the Rev.'Macdonaid Aspland, who was supported " by the Rev. F. Meadow.croft, the Rev. J. R. Glasson, and the Rev. G. J. Williams, organising secretary for the' London Missionary Society.'' The latter gentleman, who' arrived unexpectedly, . delivered a bracing address, in the course of which he strongly deprecated Christianity of the "doleful dumps" order. He had heard from this one and that that things were not going so well as they might, .but what, of that? They should go.right on with smiling faces, sure .that the,:.work being done was worth the doing. The meeting was inter.Bpejrsed with some bright singing by the children and choir, combined under the baton of Mr. Forsyth...
