A vote of thanks was proposed by . the children to ;Mrs. Herdman for her kindness in. placing a room in her home at their disposal, in which they could practice their dance, and she was. presented with a beautiful basket of violets.. They then presented Miss Campbell with a very pretty moonstone pendant, accompanied by a little speech, expressing their gratitude. Wairarapa Weddings. -A. pretty wedding took place at East Tnratahi on Tuesday, when Mr. Stanley Gordon Green, second son of Mr. E. Green, of Darfield, Canterbury, was united in matrimony with Miss Annie Ethel Shanks, fourth daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Shanks. The service was performed by the Rev. L.. Thompson, 'the. brido wore a. blue silk eolienne dress,, trimmed t with cream all-over lace, and silk strappings, with veil and orange' blossoms. Miss Florence Shanks (sister of the bride) acted as bridesmaid, and was daintily attired in white silk muslin. Mr. Robert Grant acted as best man. A large party of guests sat down to .the wedding breakfast. At St. Matthews Church, Masterton, on Wednesday; Mr. William lump was married to, Miss Winifred M. H. Saker, eldest, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Saker, of this ,town. The bride, who was;given away..,by- her- father, was attended by Misses Mercy Peat, Lucy Saker, and Isla Wagg. Mrs. Redwood has had an extensive experience in teaching singing, pianoforte, and organ play-ing,-haying, controlled the Nelson School of.. Music for several years. She has been very successful in presenting pupils for Examination, and holds the diploma of L.R.A.M., which she gained, after two years'-study in. London.
