HIBERNIAN SOCIETY.
The fortnightly meeting of the St. Aloysins: branch of the :H.A.C.B. Society was held in the club rooms last'evening, under the presidericy of Bro, W. J. O'Moara. The quarterly balance-sheet, which was adopted, showed the advancement the society was maknig. One new member was elected to membership, and three were proposed. An invitation was received from tho'ladies' branch'of the Hibernian Society for. the officers to be present on their next meeting night. Owing to the removal of Rev. Dr. M'Donald (chaplain) to the Thorndon Parish, a successor being required, the Archbisliop is being requested to make an appointment, the Very Rev. Archdeacon Devoy being recommended. It was decided to entertain the Prido of Brooklyn and the Island Bay Lodges of Druids oa next meeting night, September 19.
