; THE DOMINION ASSOCIATION. The council of tho New Zealand Amateur Athletic Association' met last even-, ing, 'Mr. A. Marryatt presiding. Also present were Messrs. F. Boss, J. Thompson, J. H. Pollock, A. Davies, M. H. Oram, E...L. Chaffey, W, F. Larkin, and W. Talbot (lion, secretary). In referenco to the Olympic game fund, the Wellington Centre notified that only a few clubs, had yet replied to. a proposal that a small sum should bo levied from each chili.. When all. had replied the centre would finally decide, the matter.—Received. The .secretary stated that no reply had yet been, received from other centres.. .... The Amateur Athletic Association of Australasia notified that the mail vote, in reference to a racing rule, submitted by the association, had.been answered in the affirmative. The Victorian Association, while agreeing to the rule, suggested that the wording be altered to read: "When, in the opinion of tho referee, a , competitor has given. up a race ho may order tho competitor to leave the track." It was agreed-that the association approve the wording suggested by the Victorian Association'. '. The YJM.C.A. notified that the Y.M.C.A; Amateur Athletic Club had not been in existence for Hie past two seasons.—lt was resolved that the Wellington Centre be asked to do all-in its power to.resuscitate the club, '... It was decided'that the annual meeting of tliß association be- held at, the secretary's office on Monday, November 28.' .'..■'•:' The-chairman remarked that the committee had- completed its task of amending the rules. He proposed that the rules as drafted bo submitted to. the centres, and that notice be given that they would be considered, at the annual general meeting on November 28. The chairman stated farther that'he did not anticipate that the centres would desire to make any material .alteration, as their recommendations had 'been already considered, but there might be a few I omissions. The course, proposed by the chairman, wits, approved. : .

.- The possibility of establishing an amateur athletic organisation in the Eotorua district was .'-raised by Mr. Davies. He stated that he had. been in communication with Mr.W. T., Parata, who believed that such: an association could, easily be formed. . Considerable .assistance' would bo derived from tho tourist frame. .Some assistance,. Mr. Davies remarked, was' desired from the Council: It was decided ; refer, the : matter to the organising committee, which body;was recommended to communicate with Mr. Parata and also with' the Auckland Cehtre of the association.',-
