' Sydney, September 1. .Mr. Clement Wragge states that whon he recently predioted ..a cycle, of drought, for the next six years, he ■ only meant. that, the rainfall, would be below the ay'erage , . ■• It would not. be so severe the last : drought. ;He had made the statement as a' warning to people to conserve the water, and make provisions to .minimise the effect of bush fires. Mr..Wragge points out that the rainfall has already fallen off. The meteorological report shows that during August there was.no rain on the south coast, and the fall was under ten points in many parts of the State. In Sydney it was twenty-five points, the second lowest for fifty-two years.
