Agriculture) paid an official visit to Somes Island yesterday. The, object ;.of the visit was to inspect some valuable ■ imported stock which is : in quarantine there. The animals, which comprise some ' flue specimens of the Hereford and Holstein breeds, were imported" through Mr. Newton King, of New Plymouth. Speaking to a Dominion reporter later, Mr.' Mackenzie said that all were, in splendid, fettle. He understood that some of the animals were going to Mr. Stuckey, of Wairarapa, whilst others were going to Mr. Whclan, of Palmerston North.; ■' The s.s.
