Jacques Pintel, on ■ Saturday evening next. .The management announces that it will bo impossible to give another concert, as the company will leave I'or . Christchurch on Monday evening, in time for' the short season in that city. It is Madame Calvc's rule to sing only twice in the one week, as she is always desirous of giving tho very .best of her art to every audience, and from experience she finds that this can only be done by judiciously, conserving her powers b'y "resting" for at least two clays beforo she sings; Judging by the wide-spread interest that has been aroused, there seems every likelihood that a very large audienco will be present, and it is announced that as. only one concert is to be given the programme has been framed so as to include as many as possible of tho finest numbers in the diva's repertoire, including selections from "Carmen," "Faust," "Tho Pearl of Brazil," etc., This also applies to Signor Gasparri's items, as well as to. the numbers to be played by M. Jacques Pintel, tho brilliant young pianist. • • / .
