Auckland, August 19. At Wostfleld fat stock sale competition for fat' cattle was steady throughout, and values were, iE anything, slightly firmer than was tic- rase the previous, woek. Ox beef brought from £1 3s. to £1 6s. per 1001b., and cow and heifer do., 18s. to £1 3s. 6d. Steers ranged in price from £6 to £17 10s., tho latter price being realised, for a. show bullock bred and owned by Mr. J. Taylor; "Bardowie," Cambridge. Cows und heifers realised from £3 108. to £3 17s. 6d. Thcro was a fair supply.of veal, which sold readily at prices which arc very firm. Heavy made £2 10s.; medium. £1 15s. to £2 Bs.; light to medium. 15s. to £1 10s.:' small and fresh dropped 2s. to 12s. 6d. There was but a medium entry of fat sheep. Prime heavy wethers made £1 ss. to £1 7s. 9d.; heavy do., £1 Is. to £1 4s. 6d.; ordinary, 183. to £1 os. 6d.; light, 15s. 9d. to 175.; best weighty ewes. 17s. 9d. to £1 os.
