A DISSATISFIED LEGATEE. ACCOUNTS ASKED FOE. Lengtliy argument was heard by Mr. Justice Cooper, yesterday, in the case of Hutchison v. the Public Trustee. The plaintiff, Mabel Carrington Hutchison, is a daugher of the late William Booth, who by his will left his sawmill at Carterton, to be. run by. the Public Trustee for the benefit of his three daughters, so long as it could be run profitably. The mill was run'accordingly, and-after some time the manager, liathbone, sued the Public . Trustee for commission on new business, in terms of the will, and obtained judgment. After four or five years, the business having fallen off, the Public Trustee sold; it, with the consent of the:■beneficiaries, to Howard Booth, son of the testator, for .£7OOO. When the testator died the mill was valued at ,£12,000. The plaintiff, on'these facts, asked for production of accounts. The case was portly heard-some.time ago.
