An exciting struggle is taking placo for tho "Daily Mail's" JCIOOO prizo for tho longest aggregate flights across country during (he year ending at midnight to-day. On Friday M. Paulha'n's record was ■ISO miles, and Mr. Grahame-White's 443 miles. Grahame-Whito added ono hundred and sixty miles to his total yesterday, and Paulhan over 200 miles. A WIN FOR PAULHAN. TOTAL OF OVER 855 MILES. (Rec. August 15, 10.25 p.m.) London, August 15. The unchecked result of the competition for the prize was— Paulhan 855 miles. White 842 miles. The two competitors flew throughout yesterday, Mr. White at Blackpool and M. Paulhan at Chartres. FRENCH OUTPUT OF AERO'PLANES. Paris, August 14. The illustrated -weekly paper "L'lllustration" estimates that in 1909 there were 800 aeroplanes built in France, at a cost of .£400,000. PARACHUTIST? KILLED. New York, August 14. . At Asbury Park, a balloonist named Benjamin Prince attempted to drop with a parachute from a height of five thousand feet. By some means he lost his hold of tho parachute, and was killed. '
