He.was elected M.P. for S. Northants in 1857 j was Viceroy of Ireland 1868-74 and 1882-S5; First Lord of the Admiralty 1592-95. He was at one time Chancellor ■of Victoria University, Manchester; 'and, in 1901, was: Keeper of tho Privy Seal. The death is announced of Sir Joseph Walton, of the King's Bench Division. [Sir Joseph Walton was born in 1845, and was therefore 65' years of age. He was educated at Stoneyhurst, and became a barrister at Lincoln's Inn in 1865; Q.C., 1892; Bencher, 1896; Chairman of tho General Council of the Bar, 1899; Recorder of Wigan, 1895-1901:. and Judgo of the King's Bench Division since 1901.1
