The dress circle, stalls, and. other parts of the Opera House were; crowded with spectators, and the whole,' function proved most' enjoyable.' Thesuccess of the pageant is/principally due to Mrs. W. The brigade succeeded in coilfining'the conflagration to this.'- and the adjoining shop, the latter, being-empty. : Both shops were gutted, and nothing was saved,from Mr. Mqwlem's premises.Tlie four shops in the block belong to ify.
