. SETTLEMENT EXPECTED. Dy Telegraph—Press ABsocia,tion-Copyri|>ht. (Rec. August 1, 11.5 p.m.) Ottawa, August 1. The Grand Trunk Railway Company is prepared to raise wages fifteen per cent. A settlement is probable. In previous messages the men's demands have variously been given as for increases of from 15 to 10 per ce-nt. for different, grades. On July 20 it was cabled that Mr. Hays, general manager of the Grand Trunk, had offered an IS per cent, increase, which hud been refused. ,
