Tpkio, July 25. . .Further particulars regarding the loss of tho steamer Tetseuri Maru, 2142 tons gross, with 240 passengers on board, while travelling . from Kobe to Dalny, show that the disaster occurred during a fog.
' There was ,no' panic, and six lifeboats were launched.' The captain of tho steamer and the majority of the crewwere lost. . ■ .' ' Nineteen saloon passengers were' rescued, including Mr. W. Cunningham, British Vice-Consul at Osaka.
It is believed that .109 steerage passengers, and 59 soldiers were. picked up or succeeded in effecting a landing.
