(By Telegraph.—Press Association! : \ , Auckland, July 26. A' .statement of the affairs of Donald Gillanders, a ■ bankrupt farmer residing at Pollock, was received by the Official Assignee (Mr. E. Gerrard) to-day. The bankrupt e6timates his liabilities to unsecured creditors at .£328 18s, and his assets ,£1387.155, leaving a nominal sur-" plus of JEBSS 17s. "Ladies-and .gentlemen," the bankrupt stated, after recounting his position, "I am here to-day not to dodge your claini6, or only to'pay part, but to call on those who have the right to pay to nut their shoulders to the wheel as 1 have done, and am still going to do; to make those .who sell my farms give nie.'the true thing. Sell nle farms! Give mo the true thing! He'p me to lighten the burden by making those pay who ought to. pay, br, if you take every shilling I own, I will still be a happy man, having the best woman in the world—my wife—and the best baby that heaven could present. I am young, and will pay every penny you claim."
