The annual meeting of the Wellington 7 L al ?j , Subuibs No-License League was held- last evening, and was largely attended by representatives from various electorates. The reports furnished ... toy the secretary, treasurer, and agent were favourably commented upon and much interest was taken in the election of the executive, which resulted as follows :—President Rev. W. J. Comrie; vice-presidents .Messrs. R. A. Wright IH?$- A. R. Atkinton S. Martin, W. Cook.(Johnsonville), h! W.-Holmes, and Mesdames W. Hildreth. Atkinson, JMiUar, and M'Alister; committee. Messrs.. R. G. Denton, J.' CaughJey, M.A./A. Partoh; T. Laing, ■ W, 13. Strong, F. O'Conncll, W. J. JorM dan, W. Irving, A. Nicol, D. M. Brookes, H. "Millar, \V. Willis, Miss Lodge,'and Mesdames .Nimmo and Irvine; secretary, Mr. Geo. Petherick; assistant secretary, Mr. W. M'Goldridi • treasurer, Mr; A. D. Bennett. That we demand a special vote on dominion prohibition, with full provision for: giving effect thereto if. coniirmcd. 2.-That this special vote be taken on q$ of L the rtext . S eneral olection.d inat the question bo submitted to the electors on a separate paper of distinctive colour, to be kept, and counted separately. 4. That we demand the bare majority and ad amendments dealing with the local law affirmed by the convention of . June 1909 amongst which are: Tho abolition of bottle licenses; no brewerSftv * o " L,ce " sein '-eas; no beer depots within ton miles o f. a No-Licenso electorate; and generally to seoura proper and effective administration.
