B.M.S.- TAINUI AEET7ES. Soon after 2.30 p.m. on Saturday, the Shaw, ga.vill and Albion Company's B.M.S. Tainui arrived in the stream, from London and Plymouth, via Teneriffe, (Jape Town, and Hobart. and, after medical inspection, she was berthed at No. 1 South Qneen'e Wharf. .. A report of 'the voyage shows that the vessel left London on Hay 27, and Plymouth the following d.ay. The rnn. to Tensriffo and 'Oape Town was marked by exceptionally fino weather, and the vessel boat her previous fastest time for that part of the jpnmey. For a week after leaving Capo Town the weather conditions were ideal, but on Juiio 23 a gale was encountered, and lor the- next four days the vessel had to e-toam aga.inst strong head winds anfl mottnlainons seas. The excellent seagoing qualities of the Tainui were further exemplified, but the gale retarded- the vessel's progress considerably.
