CARTERTON ITEMS.
Mr. S. Gregory, who has been associated with tho Arm of Thomos and Gregory, aerated water manufacturers, for sonic time, has severed his connection with the business, and left here on Saturday, en route for Canada, carrying with him tho best wishes of a large circle of friends. Mr. li. Thomas is to carry on the business. The Rev. H. T. Stealcy and Mrs. Stoiiley have returned from a short holiday visit to the Gisborne district. It is Mr. and Mrs. Stealey's intention lo tako a trip to the Old Country towards the end of the year, if a relieving principal can be obtained for the college during his absence. Seven births, two deaths, and one marriage were registered last month. Mr. L. (!. Pepper was the successful shareholder in tho recent ballot for .Elflfl under the auspices of the Wairarapa Terminating Building Society.
