LIVE 'STOCK SALES.

•Messrs. Dalgety and Co. report:—At our Dannevirke sale yesterday, there was a good entry of sheep and cattle, and a large and representative attendance of buyers. 'Bidding throughout was spirited, and, with one exception, all lines were cleared. Fat wethers sold at 155.; fat, eweii, 13s. 3d.; two-tooth ewes, in lamb, 165.; s.m. ewes, in lamb, 9s. t-o 9s. Id.; forward empty ewes, 10s.; mixed sex hoggets, 7s. lOd. to 9s. Our entry of cattle chielly comprised fat cows, which sold at from, 955. to 1285.; heifers ill calf, 60s. to 905.; eight-een-months steel's, 655.

Messrs. Dalge'ty and Company report on their Upper llutt sale, held on Thursday, as follows:—No sheep on oiler. Cattle came forward in excess of advertised numbers, and there was keen demand for springing heifers close to drop. We quote the following realisations:-Springing heifers, £9 6a, £3 17s. 6d., £7 12s. 6d„ £7 2s. 6d., £7, £6 17s. 6(1.; bulls, to £4 7s. 6d.; weaners (small), 225.

The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Ltd. (Feilding branch) report for the week ending July 2 as follows:—At Feilding on Friday, a moderate entry of sheep and cattle met with a good sale. We Quote -.—Sheep: Empty ewes, Its. Bd.; ewes in lamb, 12s. to 145.; forward breeding -ewes, lis.. lOd. Sheep were yarded in larger numbers than usual, and sold well. Two-tooth ewes made 16s. 5d.; f.f.m. ewes, lis. 3d. to 13s. lid.; hoggets, Bs. Id. to 10s. 9d.; cull do., 55.; ram, ss. 3d. At Stratford oil Tuesday, owing to tho heavy rain, there was a. very small yarding. Three-year steers made £3 15s. to £4 15=.; store cows, £3 55.; forward do., £4 17s. to £4 18s.; three-year, springing heifers, £6 17s. 6d. to £7. At Stony Kiver on Wednesday bidding was very active, and everything sold at excellent prices. - Small calves made 20s. 6d. to 335,; good.do., 465.; heifer yearlings, £2 145.; two-year steers, -£4 45.; two and a half to three, year do., £4 155.; store cows, £3 55., to £3 lis.; fat, do., £5 7s. to £5 12s. 6d..; prime, do., £6 12s. to £7; three-year springing heifers, £5 13s. to £5 19s. 6d.; bulls. £3 10s. to £4 13s. I sold on account of Messrs. Robertson Bros, a number of horses, prices being as follow: —ITacft mare, in foal, £7 2s. 6d.; two-year filly, £6; yearling- do., £4 155.; harness mare, £10 -155.; light draught gelding, £25 IPs. The same day, at Kapuni, I held a clearing 'sale on account of Mr. Jl'Alecr. when there was a good attendance, and satisfactory prices were realised. Cows sold as follows:—Early calvers, £7 to £10 55.; aged •and late do., £4 ss. to £5 10s.; springing heifers, £5 10s. to £7 2s. 6d.; bull, £4 10s.; horses, light draughts, £23 10s. to £27; eighteen-months gelding. £15; trap mare, £13 55.; household furniture, implements, and sundries mado fair prices. On Thursday, at Kent Hoad, Mr. Puckridce's clearing sale was well attended. The eows were a fair lot, but mostly backward calvers.- ■ Early calvers made £6 10s. to £7 10s!; late do., £3 - 15s. to £6; trap mare, £7 15s. Farm sundries made goid priccs.
