High barometric pressure no\y prevails, and • moderate southerly winds have succeeded the cold and stormy conditions previously experienced.' Present indications are for fair weather generally, and winds moderate to strong, south-easterly in tho far north, and southerly southward of Kaikoura and Hokitika, and for westerly elsewhere.
