STAR PICTURES.
. : ♦- Stl Thomas's Hall, Newtown, was well filled last night,' when a change of programme was presented. The star picture this week is an exciting dramatic film entitled "An Indian's True Heart." This picture shows how an Indian servant serves liis master, by rescuing his master's child from two brigands. After an exciting chase by land and water, the Indian quickly tackles 0110 man, and, afa short struggle, the brigand is overcome and drowned. The other man is shortly afterwards caught, and. the child is restored to its parents none tho worse for its adventure. The life of tho great French Cardinal Richelieu has provided, the material for plots and stories numberless, and the dramatic possibilities of the adroit Frenchman's poriod and career are well availed of in a thrilling film, which fornis one of the attractions of tho entertainment. A beautiful scenic film entitled "Volcanoes of Oceana" was much applauded by the audience, and a film entitled "Taris After the Floods" gave an idea of tho dnmago done by tho rising of the River Seine. "Madam's Hatpin" is the title of a really good comic film, which caused much amusement. Other good pictures are "Sorry I Can't Stop" (comic), "Jfoicedes, or tho Village Belle" (dramatio), "Double Sight" (comedy), "Scenes in Scutari" (scenic), "Where are Those Keys?" (comic), "Grandeur- and Decadence' (comedy). __
