Kaitieke, who was ' found drowned at 9.30 in the morning : [ in a lagoon near the house of her father--1 in-law, Moawhauga Road. She had.a bahy clasped in lier arms, which waa j also drowned. The evidence showed that B since her confinement in March des ceased had been in a depressed state. A verdict was returned of suicide vrhila temporarily insane.' ACETYLENE GAS EXPLOSION. . Timaru, June 14: Walter Harris, aged 21, employed at a threshing mill' at Woodbury, was run over by a truck while shifting, and killed instantly. He was noticed by a man at,, a little distance running beside the truck,, and seen to fall, and when the observer came up he was dead. BODY CAST UPON A BEACH.' Invercargill, June 14. Two fishermen have reported to th« police the discovery of a man's body cast upon the beach at the mouth of the; new river estuary. .The body has not ■ yet been identified, but it is supposed tobe that of Robertson, who has been miss-' ing from tho Bluff for some time. ■ • - SUDDENLY EXPIRED. ' Auckland, June IS. A sudden death occurred at Newmarket. yesterday afternoon. A man. named John Hodson Aislabieg went to the backdoor at tho premises cf William Doble, tailor, Manukau Road, aud asked for Dall, who' resides next door. MIND TEMPORARILY UNSOUND. • Thames, June 13.At. the inquest on Patrick Hogan, who committed suicide by cutting his- throat with a penknife, a verdict of suicide" whilst temporarily insane wa9 returned.
