PRINCESS MARY OF WALES.
Princess Mary of Wales, whose thirteenth birthday, was celebrated by a party, at Mnrlborough House' recently, shares with Oliver Cromwell tho distinction of haviug been born on April 25. Perhaps it is to this fact that the little Princess owes some of her Cromwellian characteristics. It is said that she rules her brothers with a rod of iron, : and certainly she is a fearless little lady, with a strong will of her own. Tho story is told of her that when her mother, with tears in her eyes, bade her children goodbye on, leaving England for the colonies, Princess Mary said stoutly, "Don't you .bother; I shall take care of us." Beforo she was seven years old, she had acted as' bridesmaid to a friend of her mother's, and amused everyone by her calmness in thi! .vcsfcry after tho wedding service was over, when-in a firm round hand she inscribed her name in the book.
