Y.M.C.A. NOTES.

The* first gymnasium display was hold en Monday evening, under the direction cf Mr. A. R. Thomas. A varied and excellent gymnastic exhibition was followed by an exciting game of- basket-ball, and refreshments were afterwards served. A ladies' carnival and sale of work, whoso purpose is to raise funds to increase tho efficiency of the Y.M.C.xV.building, will bo held on June 28 and. 29. Kach of tho clubs and other organisations connected with the association will have, a side-show at the carnival. Dr. .Henry has kindly offered to give an address'iu tho Town Hall towards the end of July in aid, of the-funds of the Wellington Y.M.C.A. Ho proposes to .speak on. "The Future of tho AngloSaxon Race—Will John Bull or Uncle Jonathan Rule the World?"
