Tho death occurred at Wanganui yesterday of Mr. M'Donald, at the ago of 73. Deceased was well known throughout Now Zealand, having been connected with the police force for 33 years, holding'responsible positions. Ho had charges in Canterbury and Westland. Deceased leaves a widow, five sons, a-nd two daughters. Tlie sons are the Rev. Father M'Donald of St. Anne's, Wellington South; Mr. L. R. M'Donald (National Bank, Kurow); Mr. E.' H. M'Donald (Bank of Now Zealand, Auckland); Mr. E. B. M'Donald (Bank of New South Wales, Dunedin); and Mr. ft. J. M'Donald (Bank of New South Wales, Wnngamii).
