LAND SETTLEMENT. Sydney, May 26. Speaking at Tamworth, the Minister for Lands, Mr. S. W. Moore, in claiming tho success of tho oloser settlement movement, foreshadoived a wide extension of tho system. [With regard to tho-land question, the New South Wales Government advocates resumption of estates and closer settlement, as against tho progressive land tax demanded by the Labour Oppositiou. Both sides arc going to the country.]
