Messrs. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report having held their fortnightly stock sale at Waipukuran yesterday, when they offered a good yarding of sheep and cattle to a good attendance of the buying puhlic. Bidding was brisk throughout, and the firm sold practically the whole entry under the hammer. Prices realised at last sales were '.veil maintained. Quotations:—Four to six-tooth wethers, 10s. to 12s. 4d. ; s.m. ewep. 10s. 6(}.; four-tooth ewes, 12s. 9d.; small lambs, ss. 10d.: good lambs. 7s. 9d.; fat heifers. £5 65.: fat cows, £4 18s.; twoyear steers, £1 2s. A sale of work to lie opened bv Mr. J. V. Luke, M.P., will be held in the Primitive Methodist Church, Webb Street, to-day. A sale of carpets will take place at Messrs. A. L.
