Memory of the attempt made in Madrid on May 31, I'JOli, to assassinato. the King and Queen of Spain, just after their marriage ceremony, is realistically revived by another bomb incident reported from Madrid. In tho (Jalle de Mayor, Madrid, is erected a monument in memory of the victims of the bomb explosion in 1906, which killed 23 persons and injured 99. At this monument a man hurled a bomb, enclosed in a steel jewel box, and identical with the one thrown at the Royal carriage on King Alfonso's wedding day. The thrower of the bomb was hotly pursued. He attempted to commit suicide, but was arrested before he could carry out his intention. .
