AMBULANCE ASSOCIATION.
At a meeting of the committee of the St. John Ambulance Association, held last evening, Mr. Seed presiding, it was resolved to endorse the action of Mr. W. B. Fisher, Honorary Brother of the Order of St. John, of Jerusalem, in .forwarding the following resolution to his Excellency, the Governor on the occasion of the death of his late Majesty King Edward:— "The members and associates of the Order of St. John of Jerusalem, residing in Wellington, together with the local, representatives of the Ambulance and District Nursing Guild committees of the St. John Ambulance Association, partaking in the universal sorrow caused .through the demise of His Most Graciouß Majesty King Edward tho Seventh, Sovereign Head of the Order, respectfully desire to tender to the Queen Mother Alexandra, and all tho members of the Royal Family, the deepest sympathy for their irreparable loss." A number of routine matters were disposed of. The resignation from the committee of Mrs. A. K. Newman, who ' pleaded pressure of other engagements, was accepted with regret. It was agreed to leave the settlement of the date of the annual meeting of the association till" the next meeting of the committee.
