Button, chief postmaster in 0 Wellington sinco 1903, has retired after 16 e years in the postal service. So far no one has been s appointed to the vacancy. J Mr. Donald Buchanan, brother of Mr. • W. C. Buchanan, M.P., died at Hawera , on Friday evening, aged 79 years. Beswick, postmaster at To Aroha, has been transferred to Picton I vice Mr. Lecoq, who has been appointed . to tako charge at "Waimate (Canterbury), .
