VICE-REGAL FURNITURE.

SUCCESSFUL TENDERERS. The names of the successful tenderers for the supply of furniture to bo manufactured in New Zealand for the new vice-regal residence- at Mount View were made known yesterday. Speaking to a Bominiox reporter the Hon. I!. M'Kenzie referred to the complaint of some manufacturers that tho quantity of furniture required was helow what had been expected. He said that tiiis was due to the fact that most of the furniture in use in the old viceregal residence, together with other furniture from Government House at Auckland, was to ho used in furnishing the now residence, Mr. MlCcnssie also remarked that no tenders had yet been accepted for the supply of carpets and curtains.
